Srimad Bhagavad Geeta - Vol. 1 to 4 (Sanskrit), which literally means the ‘song of God,’ has been sung in Sanskrit by the melodious singer, Anuradha Paudwal in India. The album narrates the dialogue between the Pandava Prince Arjuna and Lord Krishna. As is known, it is a situation of war and Krishna encourages Arjuna to fulfil his duty as a Kshatriya and forget everything behind. Anuradha Paudwal depicts a few significant slokas in Sanskrit by melodiously reciting them.

The songs in this album help in impacting the mind through the recitation of various virtues like dharma, bhakti, yogic ideals, liberation and knowledge. The album is rich with the lyricism of all the chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. The slokas which the artist has sung in this album are from the original verses and is without any deviation from the vedic essence.

About The Artist
Anuradha Paudwal had gifted her voice to many famous Bollywood movies and is mostly recognised as a Bollywood Singer. Towards the middle of her career, when she started singing for the late Gulshan Kumar’s devotional albums, Paudwal’s voice became highly popularised as a devotional singer. In 2010, she received the Lata Mangeshkar Award and in 2011, she was honored with Mother Teresa Award for Lifetime Achievement. Besides this, she also had the privilege of working with several famous Bollywood music directors R D Burman, Bappi Lahiri, Nadeem-Shravan and A. R. Rahman. She also sang duets with the famous S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and K. J. Yesudas.
